root - taking root where we find sustenance, the specificity of being fixed in a particular place.

branch - where we branch, our points of divergence, our structures of support.

leaf -  places of exchange, our faces to the world.

seed - the mystery of unfolding.

We are three artists connected by meeting each week online and drawing together: Roz Moreton, Siân Barlow & Jen Herzig Smith.

We three have been in conversation over recent years. We hold regular zoom calls where we have been making drawings together - drawing together.

In this work we have been exploring our sense of belonging to the places where we live, through the work of close attention, noticing and relationship with the plants around us.

We select the plants we will draw - gathered from where we live. We also make our own drawing materials - ink and charcoal - with plants from our gardens or responsibly gathered.

Currently, our work is being shown as part of the Terrain Biennial DIY 2025. We hope you enjoy this exhibition.
